Big Mike Entertainment

An events site for an entertainment booker running live music, trivia, and karaoke nights around West Michigan.

A schedule that lived only on Facebook.

Every date, every venue, every lineup was buried in a feed. Regulars had to scroll to find out what was on this week, and there was nothing to hand a venue that was thinking about booking. The site needed to be the place the calendar actually lives.

A calendar that keeps itself current.

Recurring-night engine: rules like "every other Wednesday" or "last Saturday of the month" expand into real dates automatically, so the calendar never needs manual upkeep
Live events page grouped by month, with the next date always surfaced on the homepage
Scrolling marquee ticker of upcoming dates across the top of the site
Photo gallery with a masonry-style grid that still looks deliberate while it fills up
Brand identity derived from his existing logo, with the palette sampled directly from it and extended into a full design system
Hourly revalidation so the calendar advances on its own without a redeploy

His logo is red, white, and blue Americana. Rather than drop it onto a generic template, the whole site was built outward from it, with navy and red sampled straight from the artwork, paired with a lit-marquee motif of chasing bulbs and a printed-program layout for the listings. It reads like a county-fair sign, which is exactly the room he books.
